Frequently asked questions
How many pieces do I need to make?
Make 2 cherry blossom pieces (sewn together through the back loops) and 4 lily of the valley buds that hang from the pendant.
How are the picot petals formed?
On the final cherry blossom round, each petal point is shaped with a picot: dc, ch 3, sl st in the 3rd ch from the hook, ch 3, dc. This gives the petals their pointed, scalloped edge.
How is the puff-stitch bud made?
Each lily of the valley bud uses a puff: work 6 incomplete hdc into the same space, then yarn over and pull through all loops at once and ch 1 to close. Repeat in each space around for the bell shape.
What hook should I use?
The pattern specifies a 2.0mm hook with fine thread; going larger will loosen the lacy petals and make the pendant less crisp.
