Body (make 2 pieces):
Row 1: Ch 5, starting in 2nd ch from hook, 4 sc in back bumps (4)
Row 2: Turn, sc, inc, 2 sc (5)
Rows 3-4: Turn, 5 sc. Fasten off. (5)

Make a second piece (Rows 1-4) but do NOT fasten off, continue:
Row 5: Turn, 4 sc, inc, ch 6, join to first piece, inc, 4 sc (18 including chain)
Rows 6-11: Turn, 18 sc (18)
Row 12: Turn, 16 sc, dec (17)
Row 13: Turn, dec, 14 sc, inc (17)
Row 14: Turn, dec, 14 sc, inc (17)
Row 15: Turn, dec, 6 sc, inc, ch 5 (for head)
Row 16: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, 5 sc, inc, 5 sc, dec
Row 17: Turn, dec, 5 sc, inc, 5 sc
Row 18: Turn, 5 sc, inc, 5 sc, dec
Row 19: Turn, dec, 5 sc, inc, 5 sc

Head shaping:
Row 20: Turn, 6 sc, inc, 4 sc, dec
Row 21: Turn, dec, 4 sc, dec
Row 22: Turn, dec, 2 sc, dec
Row 23: Turn, dec twice. Fasten off.

Join two pieces: Sc around the edge, inc at corners. Border with contrasting color sl st around.

Saddle:
Row 1: Ch 10, starting in 2nd ch from hook: 8 sc, 3 sc in last st (corner), 7 sc on other side, inc (20)
Row 2: Inc, 7 hdc, 3 inc, 7 hdc, 2 inc (26)
Row 3: Sc around without inc/dec. Sl st border in accent color. Attach mane and tail.

Coin:
Rnd 1: Ch 21, starting in 2nd ch from hook: *(hdc, dc, tr, sl st)*, repeat 4 times, join in round
Rnd 2: *(4 sc, inc)*, repeat 4 times (make 2 pieces). Sew together with gold thread.
