Frequently asked questions
How do I make the bobble stitch used in the early rounds?
The bobble is a 2-dc cluster: yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, repeat the dc, then yarn over and pull through all the loops on the hook to close the cluster.
When do I change colors?
Color A (pink) is used for rounds 1-2, Color B (white) for rounds 3-4, and Color C (blue) for rounds 5-8, which ends in the fan/shell edging.
Should I follow the chart or the written instructions?
They are companions: the full circular symbol chart and the step-by-step photo rounds describe the same coaster, so use whichever you read more easily and cross-reference the other.
