Crochet Star Cup Cozy — Assembly & Net Bag

Joining the two stars:
Place the two star pieces with right sides facing each other. Working through both layers around the outermost edge, sc all the way around (leave a small opening to turn it right side out).

Net bag (worked from the joined edge):
Ch 12, then sc 1 into the 5th stitch along; *ch 12, skip 5 sts, sc 1*, repeat around to build the netting.

Crochet Stars — Five Sizes

US terms. Shorthand: x=sc, F=hdc, T=tr, E=sl st, w=inc, k=incomplete hdc (yarn over, pull up a loop), sl=sl st.

Star 3.4 cm:
Rnd 1: 15 hdc in a magic ring (15)
Rnd 2: *ch 5, working back from the 2nd ch from hook: sc, tr, hdc, sl st, then yarn over twice & pull up loops (k2), sl st*, repeat 5 times to form 5 points

Star 3.5 cm:
Ch 61. Working back from the 2nd ch from hook, repeat 5 times: 11 sc, then inc (w). (forms 5 points)

Star 4.0 cm:
Rnd 1: ch 3, 2 hdc, ch 1, then *3 hdc, ch 1* 4 times
Rnd 2: sl st over to the 2nd hdc, then in each ch-space of Rnd 1 work (2 hdc, sl st, ch 3, sl st, 2 hdc); repeat in all 5 ch-spaces

Star 5.2 cm:
Rnd 1: in a magic ring work *hdc, ch 1* 10 times (10 hdc, 10 ch-1 spaces)
Rnd 2: in each ch-1 space of the previous round, make 4 incomplete hdc then yarn over and draw through all loops at once (puff), ch 3, move to next space and repeat; 10 puff groups total
Rnd 3: working into the ch-3 spaces, *sc, then (tr, 2 hdc, sl st, ch 3, sl st, 2 hdc, tr)*, repeat 5 times to form 5 points

Star 5.6 cm:
Rnd 1: ch 3, then *3 hdc, ch 3* 5 times
Rnd 2: in each large ch-space, work (3 hdc, ch 3, 3 hdc); repeat 5 times
Rnd 3: *sc, then in each large ch-space work (4 hdc, ch 3, 4 hdc)*, repeat 5 times
