A flat stingray amigurumi worked as two panels — a white belly and a gray-black top — edged with a sweep of graduated stitches and finished with a skinny tail. Sew the panels together for a squishy palm-size ray.

Frequently asked questions
How is the stingray constructed?
Two flat panels are crocheted separately. Each ends with a FLO edging round that sweeps from slip stitches up to double trebles to create the wing outline, then the panels are sewn together with light stuffing.
Why is the edging written as only half the outline?
The chart gives half of the wing sequence; you work it once, then repeat it in reverse back to the start so both wings mirror each other.
What are the tails made of?
Each panel has its own chained tail (ch 10 base). The bottom tail uses slip stitches and sc; the top uses sc and dc. Leave 30-50 cm yarn ends for sewing the panels together.
