Lace Lemon-Yellow Vest — Pattern Info, Schematic & Stitch Chart Yarn: linen (yellow), ~200g. Hook: 4/0 (about 2.5mm). Finished: length 50 cm, yoke depth 24.5 cm. Gauge: 1 pattern repeat = 3.3 cm; 8.5 rows = 10 cm. Construction: - Back & front are worked in the lace pattern stitch. Begin at the shoulders on a chain foundation; work 4 rows on each shoulder, then add the neckline chain and continue. From row 5, work the left and right sides together. - Work the front by picking up sts from the back foundation, the same way. - Hem: edge with border A. Finishing: edge the sides with border B; work the collar back and forth in border B. Make 4 dc ribbons/ties and sew them to the wrong side at the marked spots. Pattern stitch: 10 sts = 1 repeat, 4 rows = 1 vertical repeat — dc shells/fans with ch mesh (see chart).
Notes
Lace vest. 4/0 hook, linen yarn ~200g. Body in a 10-st lace repeat; borders A and B for hem/sides/collar; 4 dc ties sewn on. Symbol chart carries stitch placement.
Lace Lemon Vest — Body Lace Stitch Chart (hem section, worked as charted) The body lace is a shell-and-mesh pattern: - Row: work a fan/shell of dc (about 7 dc) into a ch space, ch, sc into the next space, ch — repeat across (10-st repeat). - Next rows: stack shells over the ch spaces of the previous row, offset so open diamonds form between the fans. - Hem edge: a row of scalloped dc shells finishes the bottom. Symbols: oval = ch, + = sc, T with bars = dc/tr fans.
Notes
Shell-and-mesh lace, 10-st repeat, with a scalloped shell hem. Follow the chart for exact fan counts.
Lace Lemon Vest — Body Schematic (Fig 1) + Borders A & B (worked as charted) Body layout (Fig 1): rectangular front/back with an oval neck opening worked around; about 49 sts are picked up along each side of the opening for the shoulders/straps. Border A: fan-shell edging, 10 sts = 1 repeat (used at the hem). Border B: smaller shell edging, 8 sts = 1 repeat (used at the sides and collar). Both borders are rows of dc shells separated by sc, giving a scalloped edge. Symbols: oval = ch, + = sc, T with bar = dc.
Notes
Schematic plus the two edging charts. Border A (10-st repeat) hem; border B (8-st repeat) sides/collar. Oval neckline picks up ~49 sts per side.
