A palm-size fluffy elephant in blue fur yarn — a fast gummy-style body with bobble cheeks, disc ears and a little dc trunk. Half a ball of yarn is all it takes.

Mini Fur-Yarn Elephant Gummy — Body, Ears & Trunk Body Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR (5) Rnd 2: Inc around (10) Rnd 3: *Sc, inc* ×5 (15) Rnd 4: *Sc, inc, sc* ×5 (20) Rnds 5-7: Sc around (20) Rnd 8: Dec ×10 (10) Rnd 9: Sc, inc, bobble, inc, sc, inc, bobble, inc, sc, inc — the two bobbles form the cheek bumps Rnd 10: Sc around (15) Rnd 11: 4 sc, bobble, 4 sc, bobble, 5 sc Rnd 12: *Sc, dec* ×5. Stuff and close. Ears (make 2) Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR, do not join (5) Rnd 2: Inc in each st (10). Fasten off, sew flat to the head. Trunk Ch 5; starting from 2nd ch from hook work 4 dc. Frequently asked questions
Is fur yarn beginner friendly?
Stitches are hard to see in fur yarn, so count carefully and use a stitch marker each round. The pattern is short (12 rounds), which keeps it manageable.
How is the trunk made?
Chain 5 and work 4 dc back down the chain — one row makes the little curled trunk, sewn under the eyes.
What do the B stitches in rounds 9 and 11 mean?
They are bobbles that pop outward to form the cheeks; work them a touch looser in fur yarn so they show.
