Frequently asked questions
How are the basket handles made?
In Rnd 9 you chain 10 and skip 4 stitches twice, which leaves two chain loops standing up as handles.
Can I make the hat brim wider?
Yes — keep increasing for another round or two after Rnd 3 before working the straight sides, then carry on as written.
How is the hat bow attached?
Split 4-ply cotton down to two strands, use a 1.4mm hook to chain a length, tie it around the crown and secure it with a small dab of glue.
