A mini crossbody pouch with a four-colour granny-style flower on the front, sized to hold earbuds, cards or coins. Worked as five flat pieces - flower front, back panel, two gussets and a flap - then slip-stitched together and finished with a long chain strap.

Mini Flower Crossbody Pouch — Front Motif, Back, Gussets, Flap & Strap Hook: 2.5mm Chart key (as printed on this diagram): CH = ch, X = sc, F = dc, A = dec FRONT MOTIF (4 color rounds — work every round into the chain spaces, fasten off after each round) Green: Start in a ring - ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, *3 dc, ch 3* x3. Fasten off. White: Ch 3, 2 dc, *(ch 1, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc)* x3, 3 dc, ch 3. Fasten off. Pink: Ch 3, 2 dc, *[(ch 1, 3 dc) + (ch 1, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc)]* x3, 3 dc, ch 3. Fasten off. Ch to desired length, sew both ends to the bag body.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the chart use F for double crochet instead of half double?
This diagram supplies its own key, in which F = double crochet and X = single crochet. Follow the printed key rather than the more common shorthand where f means half double crochet.
How are the pieces joined?
Hold the flower front, back panel and both gussets together and join with slip stitches, starting the seam at row 4 of the gusset so the base sits square.
How do I make the strap the right length?
The strap is plain chain worked with two strands on a 3.0mm hook, so just chain until it hangs where you want it and sew both ends to the bag body.
