Frequently asked questions

How is the pouty mouth made?

Round 28 leaves 4 stitches unworked; you later rejoin in those stitches, work a small tube with corner increases, decrease, then finish with FLO increases in a new color for the protruding lips.

Why do rounds 8-24 list stitch counts in three parts?

Those are inline color changes for the white belly stripe — e.g. '14 sc, [white] 8 sc, 14 sc'. Carry the second color inside the stitches.

What is the wire for?

1.5 mm floral wire stiffens the skinny legs and arms so the fish can stand and hold its cola cup.
