A tiny zip-free pouch sized for earbuds or small earphones, finished with a long crocheted chain strap so it can hang from a bag or wrist. Alternating single and half double crochet rows give it a subtle ridged texture.

Frequently asked questions
How is the textured body created?
After the oval base reaches 48 stitches, you alternate full rounds of single crochet and half double crochet (Rnds 5-11). This back-and-forth between two stitch heights produces the gentle horizontal ridges that give the pouch its texture.
How do I make the long chain strap?
On Rnd 12 you work a chain of 280 stitches off the body, then on Rnd 13 you slip stitch back into each of those 280 chains, inserting your hook into the back bump of the chain to create a firm, neat strap before finishing the opening edging.
How does the bag stay closed?
The opening is shaped on Rnd 12 (skip 3, ch 4) and edged on Rnd 13 with a *ch 3, skip 1, sl st* pull-down border. There's no zipper or button; the snug single/half double crochet fabric and small opening hold the earphones in place.
