This star pet collar is a layered, scalloped faux bib worked in six soft cotton colors with a front-post-textured round and dainty 5-point star charms. Finished with a long tie cord, it dresses up a pet (or doll) with a sweet, ruffly collar.

Star Pet Collar (Faux Bib) — Scalloped Layers with Star Charms Worked in a multiples-of-6 repeat. Hook: 2.5 mm. Cotton in cream, light blue, sky blue, custard, goose-yellow, and chick-yellow. Foundation (goose-yellow) Rnd 1: Ch 55, work into the 4th ch from hook; *hdc, ch 2* 17 times across, end with 1 hdc (this sets the row of hdc with ch-2 spaces). Body scallops Rnd 2 (custard): Sc in the first dc, then work into the gaps between the hdc of the previous round — treating every two gaps as one unit, work (3 hdc, ch 3, 3 hdc) in one gap and sc in the next; after the last gap, sc directly into the last dc. Rnd 3 (white): Sc, *(4 hdc, ch 3, 4 hdc) in the ch-3 space of the previous round, sc in the sc of the previous round*, repeat around.
