Frequently asked questions
What forms the net pattern?
The mesh is built by alternating short single-crochet sections with ch-6 loops worked over skipped stitches (the *(ch 6, skip 6, sc)* repeats), creating the open net holes that give the bag its lightweight look.
Why is so much of the pattern worked in back loop only?
Back loop only is used through most of the body and opening to create a defined ridge line and a slightly stretchy, structured edge that helps the small bag keep its shape.
How is the strap added?
The strap is worked directly from the bag opening, single crocheting around (including one sc into each net hole) and chaining 30 to form the strap loops before joining with a slip stitch.
