Back Leg

Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, 3 sc
Row 4: Ch 2, turn, skip 1, working into the front half-loops: inc, 3 sc
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, 4 sc, sl st. Cut yarn.

Front Leg
Join yarn at the 4th stitch from the left under the body:

Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, 3 sc
Row 4: Ch 2, turn, skip 1, inc, 3 sc

Notes

Flat silhouette puppy charm by @半糖正常冰-. Worked in rows as one connected piece: ear → head → body → legs. Yarn: 4-ply cotton, 2.5mm hook. Pair with the star pendant from the same post.

Star Pendant — Five-Point Star (two methods)

Method 1 (recommended by the designer)
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (standing), 10 dc in MR (10)
Rnd 2: Sc, then repeat 5 times: (hdc, dc, ch 1, sl st, ch 1, dc, hdc) — each group forms one star point.

Method 2 (the one shown crocheted)
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (standing), 14 dc in MR (14)
Rnd 2: Repeat 5 times: ch 5, then from 2nd ch: sc, hdc, dc, sl st, skip 2 sts of the base round, sl st into the next st — each chain spike is one star point.

Notes

Companion star for the puppy charm. In this author's key: X=sc, T=hdc, F=dc, E=sl st. Designer notes she crocheted Method 2 but recommends Method 1 for a neater star.

Frequently asked questions

How is the puppy shaped?

It's one connected flat piece — ear, head rows, body rows, then back and front legs worked off the body edge; make two and join with sc.

Which star method should I use?

The designer recommends Method 1 (10 dc ring + 5 stitch-graded points); Method 2 uses ch-5 spikes instead.
